Winter Wren Call

Slept in...been busy at work...picked up mini donuts and orange juice at the Mini Store, and with the gear, and a folding chair, went back to the Three Dogwoods and sat awhile...good thing for the chair....only Bird to come around was Pileated Woodpecker, high up on the Ponderosa...far away clip...Trees still have lots of Seeds, but I've noted for a long while that Birds have a siesta time around noon...pics and clips up are from Critter Count Day...to continue: at Swinging Bridge, thought to return to the Cabin and recharge the newer camera's battery, which was low, and download card, which was full...across from Last Chance, Mama Doe and Two Fawns...Deer had moved from Rocky Slope...after Breakfast, and retrieving gear (oh, lots of Blue Jays over the Rooms' Roofs), paddled back to the Dogwooods...Pileated way high up on the Ponderosa (just like today!)..pic....Mama Doe and One Fawn in the Backyard....Deer had moved form Rocky Slope too!...while taking pic, sighted Coyote on the Dirt Road in the distance..pics up...tourists (YIs) came along and watched, and Coyote went off back into the Woods...Coyote had likely moved form Burnt Forest....continued out the Dirt Road to Lower Falls...at the Two Inside Footbridges, sighted Winter Wren, and recorded call...pic, blurry, and clip up....continued to Lower Falls Stop, and crossed the Road...on the Path aside Flicker Grove, sighted Coyote..one pic..forgot to clear card...changed card, and some blurry pics of Coyote...Coyote had moved from the Backyard...very unusual to see Coyote three times in three different places in one morning walk!...sighted Ground Squirrel on Snag..clip up...to be continued...sunny blueblue today, cool...at Lunch: worked some more on the Second Owl, which makes one hour and a half to reach where I've reached with it...at some point, one has to say, 'that's as much attention as this drawing is going to get, least it get badly overworked'...well, it's already overworked, and the eyes not large enough...moved beak, which helped...time spent should include the thoughts I've had on how to go about the drawing, and studying the picprint...but that's casual time spent, while at work, or relaxing at the Cabin...something I've discovered, is that a very small drawing takes just as long as a large one!...
