Duck Harbor Deer

After, and before too!, Breakfast, checked the Dogwoods in the Backyard...quiet...but the Leaves are the perfect colors...Pileated Woodpecker was about...call in the Woods near the Creek...waited awhile, then paddled back to the Creek, maybe Pileated thereabout...sighted movement through the Trees, and when I came around in the open, Mama Doe and Two Fawns were crossing the Creek...pics and clips...very cool...One Fawn is limping....noticed this too Tuesday morning by Rocky Slope...leg looks maybe a little better today...Deer moved off up the Swath, and just behind appeared Mama Doe and One Fawn....not sure, but maybe Last Chance Doe and Fawn....pics....and thenabout, heard Hawk somewhere over in Flicker Grove...hopped the Creek with some help from the tripod....followed Hawk's call until right under the Oaks across the Road from Lower Falls, but still couldn't sight Hawk...puzzled awhile, but then saw Hawk, Redsholder, Coop, high up....lots of pics and clips for sometime....time, and left off with Hawk looking to be resting....hard to tell, and hard to get angles...Coop with back to me most of the time.....sunny blueblue warm.....at Lunch: the most time economical lunch walk yet!....hurried to the Cabin for the Tripod, and at the Swath, Big Wings flew low right across in front of me....pretty sure it was Owl, but Ravens were calling....at the RipRap, turned upcreek, sorta the place I thought Big Wings would go...and sighted Owl, Sentinel, I think, perched on an Alder with a view out over the Creek....something had Sentinel's attention, maybe Ponderosa...but no calls....some very cool pics and clips for sometime...Sentinel crouched over, and I was blocked from full view...moved to another closer, and clearer view, but Sentinel looked once my way, then flew off downcreek...followed, but time (31minutes)...missed a great pic, but the ones I have are pretty cool...for sometime....report of Redtail Hawk in the Burnt Forest...reporter was within a few feet walking by, and Hawk didn't fly off....and another reporter was within twenty feet of Bear on the Four Mile Trail...reported too that the area by the Creek Crossing is a scenic must see and photograph....
