Meadow and Trees

Well, hmmph, sometime all one can do is stop, step back, and say, 'heck'...the 8x6 acrylic at least looks like the watercolor sketch, but neither go much beyond just being Bob Ross happy...and I don't know where the class was for the watercolor sketch...maybe the Meadow across from behind the Ranger's Club...the Pines in the foreground look to be the Volunteers that come up in the Meadows...and get taken away in time by the Valley Volunteers!...rained most of the night and morning...checked the web cams for the Valley, and the Rain doesn't seem to have gotten up North...I started out painting the canvas white, and then did the grey at top, leaving the trees in silhouette, and moved down that way, painting some and leaving blank some, then filling in...I'd like to paint quick with a kinda pace, but it takes a lot of fore thought to do shadows and lighting...but things I'm trying will work when I paint on site with acrylic..at least when it's cool...acrylic dries slower in cool damp weather...
