OTI:six poems and notes:8/24/16

Open To Interpretation

Erinyes

No light matter,
Oath breaking;
False oath taking,
False oath forcing.
The furies will come.
They have no special regard
For those who swear
With fingers crossed.

One And Only

Yes,
You're my one and only.
We tease one another plainly
Arms around one another's
Others.
Or it would seem.
I said yes,
You know,
And I know,
You have it no.

Amputees

No ear tearing noises
Imperiled them
Yet.
In quiet,
Hands at their sides,
They left in falsehood's
Blackmailing trap,
Like Coyote does,
Their own gnawed off limbs.

Bauble

Love?
It's a rare bauble
To hold up to the light
And see colors and sparkle.
Away from brilliance,
Keep it close always
Though dull and common.

Demeter

Open eyed
Open mouthed
Screaming
At you Hades.
Haven't you learned by now
She's not someone to set hunting?
Driven up the tree,
I still grip, frozen.
No way I'm coming down.

Marlow

What is it, Demeter?
Oh, another daughter...
If I didn't have daughters...
I wouldn't have cases...
