Once across the Road to Lower Falls, I heard the Pygmy Owl call again...and went right...and made the Lower Falls Loop...Flickers were at the T, where to the right. the trail takes one to the Village...Flicker pic and clip...to the left a little ways is the Boulder and the Muir Sign...pic...where the old sawmill once was...I made the loop and then went out to Camp 4...got as far as the Upper Falls Trailhead...Flicker landed on the floor...clip...in this clip at the point where Flicker reaches the tree, one can hear Pygmy Owl...over the hikers talking!...I'm hearing Pygmy's call okay, but it's going to really hard to find Owl....the call somehow travels a goodly distance with out fading..or seeming to get louder as one gets closer!....Moonlight Madness reports four Bobcat sightings on a two day weekend walkabout of the Valley trails....Moonlight saw one at Three Arches, one at the Happy Isles Water Tank...one in Siberia...and one at Chapel Meadow...Moonlight claimed there was nothing to it...seeing Bobcat...asked if they saw Bear..they could answer only 'no'...See!, I said, it's not that easy!....Moonlight has been known to take a dip in the Merced...under the Full Moon, what else!...in midwinter!!....sunny clear blue cool...the Snow Cone is even larger...the cold nights keep it growing...many Flower reports from Hite Cove...Birds all calling and talking in the Rocky Slope Forest...it's Spring....
