Heron clip is from last August 3....report today of Heron by the Ozone Beach by the Merced...hope I can see it tomorrow!....went out to the Deer House and sat awhile...then over to the Twig that was...sat awhile...picked up and to Creek's End ... backtracked for piece of forgotten gear...my handerchief!...went back to the Deer House where Ground Squirrel was sitting on the Oak...pics and clip...new camera did much better than the 12x..'cept for the clip!...it was light shade...dark shade and dusk are the problem light for the new lens...sunny with clouds...cool to warm...it was overcast yesterday...misstated that it was blue!...Ding Darling was one of the founders of the National Wildlife Federation..bio is on web..and a good tale...he made the painting for the first Duck Stamp...and the Duck Stamp tale is a good one too!
