Creek's End Hairy Woodpecker

Shuttled over to the Post Office...hopped off at Lower Falls on way back..Shuttle crowded!...thought to go out into the Delta...but didn't have everything...so went to the Cabin, and got everything...had hopes of Robin on Nest pics and clips...but when I got there, Robin was gone...and after using the Pole Cam trick, found the Nest to be empty of eggs...dont know what happened...Monday, Mama Robin was on the Nest...and Papa Robin too...still a neat clip of a very neat nest!...for sometime..pic and clip up is from Monday....while wondering about Robin, Bandtail Pigeon landed on an Azalea...lots of Azaleas in the Delta...and have clip of Bandtail eating the flowers...but blurry....Bandtail flew up high to a Fir...where they usually are..up high...tried for clips with the digi, and they're blurry....high up there are what look like nests...or they could be accumulations of needles and branches caught in the Trees....dont know...and now and then I hear peeps...but haven't been able to see any Babies...a quiet walk...mostly a sit!...Delta's a good place to sit...lots of Trees...with wide open spaces between to spot movements...and the gravel easy to walk on...I'm becoming familiar with this one area where the Robin Nest is...it's too where the Mergansers, Mallards, Fir Bear, Fern Deer with Two, Caterpillars, and some bugs have been!...sunny hot blue...a few clouds..very little breeze..and the afternoon wind brought in the smoke from the controlled fire...tourist complained that they wouldn't be able to see anything tomorrow...advised them to get out and about early...will try that my ownself tomorrow..both for the Hairy Woodpecker..which is a charming find, being right by Owl Log...and Owl of course...would like to see what Owls are about at daybreak....

Such a lovely sound track...the music of the water and the bird.

Yes, Creek's End, and Owl Log are my favorite spot...Log is out in the water at moment!
